Lauren Helen Graham (born March 16, 1967) is an American actress.

Biography

Lauren Graham was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Irish American parents who divorced when she was 5; her father, Lawrence Graham, is the president of the National Confectioners Association while her mother, Donna, wanted to pursue a singing career. Graham but spent most of her childhood in northern Virginia, outside Washington, D.C., where she was a competitive equestrienne. She has two half-siblings, Maggie and Chris, and is not related to the actress Heather Graham.

Lauren Graham attended Langley High School, where she took part in the Drill Team which is a mix of Dance and Cheerleading. She graduated from Barnard College in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and from Southern Methodist University in 1992 with a master's degree in acting.

Lauren Graham is best known for her role as Lorelai Gilmore on the television show Gilmore Girls (2000-present). She has also appeared in the movies Bad Santa, The Pacifier and Sweet November. In addition, she has appeared on the hit comedy Seinfeld (as one of Jerry's dates), as well as on News radio and Law & Order.

Graham dated actor Tate Donovan. As of February 2006, she is dating actor Marc Blucas.
