Alison Lohman Biography

Alison Lohman (born on September 18, 1979) is an American actress.

Biography

Alison Lohman who was born in Palm Springs, California to Gary Lohman, a developer, and Diane Dunham, a restaurant owner. Lohman has one younger brother, Robert (born 1982). Although her family has no show business connections, she has been acting since the age of nine.

Alison Lohman, although infamous for being shy, is also a professional singer, and has performed as a featured solo vocalist for Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and the Desert Symphony. She is a vegetarian and has also admitted to having a strong environmental streak.

When Alison Lohman was a senior at Palm Desert High School, she won an award from the National Foundation of the Advancement of the Arts. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film career.

Alison Lohman was given top billing in White Oleander in which she played a starring role and has also played important roles in Big Fish and Where the Truth Lies. Alison starred alongside Nicolas Cage and Sam Rockwell in Matchstick Men, in which she portrayed a 14-year-old, despite actually being 22 at the start of the film's shooting.

Alison Lohman was also one of several actresses considered to play the title role in a female version of Robyn Hood (later renamed Princess of Thieves). Keira Knightley won the title role instead.

As well as her film roles, Alison Lohman has had major roles in the TV series Tucker and Pasadena.
